Winner of the NATSAA (National Association for Teachers of Singing/Artist Award)

Recently competed in the regional competition and will go on to compete in the semi-finals and finals in New York in January 2024.

Winner of Dissertation Fellowship for LSU

Congratulations to Kyle Melton on winning a Dissertation Fellowship for the LSU school year 2023-2024 in the amount of $25,000.

Met Competition Arkansas District Winner

Sara recently competed in the Arkansas District of the Laffont Competition by the Metropolitan Opera and won! We’re sending her many “toi toi toi’s” in the next stage!

Met Competition Pittsburgh District Encouragement Award

Adding to her numerous accolades, Eunchong recently won the encouragement award in the 2023 Pittsburgh District of the Laffont Competition.

Met Competition Tennessee District Encouragement Award

Audience favorite and LSU graduate Jenna Grissom won the Encouragement Award in the District Round of the Laffont Competition as she pursues a Performance Diploma at the Peabody School of Music.

Karli Forte

Met Competition Arkansas District Encouragement Award; Semi-finalist Utah Opera Resident Artist Program

While pursuing her master’s of music at LSU, Karli has been competing and auditioning all around the country. She recently won the Encouragement award at the Met Laffont District Competition and is also a semi-finalist for the Utah Opera’s Resident Artist Program next Fall!

Nate Malkow

While finishing his master’s of music at LSU, Nate will also be auditioning in Germany as he was granted an audition for the Stuttgart residency program!
