
Grace McMahon

Light lyric soprano originally from Jefferson, Wisconsin. She is currently working on her MM at Louisiana State University with a Graduate Assistantship. In February she will be competing in the New Orleans district for the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. This past October she sang Adina in LSU Opera Theater’s production of L’elisir d’amore. In May she received her BA in Music from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In March, Grace was awarded 1st prize with the Edith Newfield Award at the Musicians Club of Women Vocal Competition. She was also a recent finalist in the SOS Patricia Crump Vocal Competition and semifinalist for the Schmidt Vocal Arts Undergraduate Competition. Some of her recent roles include Mrs. Grose cover in Turn of the Screw, with Chicago Summer Opera, Suor Genovieffa in UWM Opera Theater production Suor Angelica, and Adele in Die Fledermaus.
