
Sarah mchan

American soprano Sarah McHan brings her passion for storytelling to operatic, concert, and musical theatre repertoire. She has sung over one hundred performances as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute across the country, most notably with The Atlanta Opera Studio Tour. This spring, Sarah performed as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette with the Turner-Fischer Center for Opera at LSU and the Queen of the Night as a guest artist with the University of North Florida. She looks forward to singing Mary Turner in the Gershwin’s musical Of Thee I Sing this November at LSU. Additional performance credits include Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Amy March in Adamo’s Little Women, and Constance in Dialogues of the Carmelites.
She has earned recognition and awards from various competitions including 1st Place in the Atlanta Music Club Competition, Winner of the LSU Solo Aria Competition, Finalist in the Mobile Opera Rose Competition, 3rd Place at the NATS National Student Auditions, and 1st Place in the Shirley Rabb Winston Competition – Birmingham Chapter. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia Southern University, where she studied under Allen Henderson. She is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance at Louisiana State University, studying under Lindsay Kate Brown.
